According to the fish market owner, the creature survived in its tank for more than half a year after it was given a new home
A man who found a bizarre 'half fish' still alive in a tank at a market adopted it and gave it a new home - because he felt sorry for it.

Mr Watchara Chote, 36, from Ratchaburi in Thailand, affectionately named the fish 'I-half' and explained to local media that it was missing the central part of its tail.

The fish, a hypsibarbus wetmorei, was reportedly injured when it attempted to jump out of a cement-lined pond.

It fractured its bones, which eventually rotted and caused the tail to fall off, according to Matichon News.
Unfortunately, the fish has now passed away, but lasted for six months with just half a body.
